HONDA NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!
Come meet Honda and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (Oct. 6th) from 12-3 pm at the Petsmart in Alexandria (3351 Richmond Hwy, Alexandria, VA 22305)!
Name: HondaBest Guess for Breed:Lab mix
Best Guess for Age:2 years as of July 2021SEX: Female
Approximate Weight: 50 lbs
Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with kids, but she can be tested. This sweet girl shouldn't go to a home with cats.
Currently Living at: Lucky Dog rescue campus in South Carolina; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get her freedom ride!
Honda is Looking For: This sweet mama raised her babies Harley, Helena, Horace, Hubert, and Humphrey to be wonderful family pets and Civic-minded citizens of the dog community, and now they're off to find their own forever homes; this Prologue to her new chapter is closed.
Honda is now on an Odyssey to find her forever home! She's a young girl and hasn't seen nearly enough of the world. She's eager for long sniffy walks, romps in parks, and all the adventures her new humans can dream up. Making new pup and people pals along the way - yes, please! Quality kibble and a cushy dog bed are high on her wish list as well.
Most of all, though, she just wants to be safe and loved and under her own roof. In exchange, she promises to ink her paw on an Accord where she promises to give you adoring gazes and happy tail wags and loyal companionship for all her days. What do you say? Is she the one you can see trotting by your side? Are you ready to be the Pilot Honda is seeking?
What My Foster Says About Me: Honda is doing great! Her favorite things are cuddles, squeaky toys, and mealtime. She is very affectionate and loves to give kisses! She also likes to snuggle with me on the couch. She enjoys playing with squeaky toys, especially ripping out the squeakers! I can tell she did a great job raising her own puppies, because she’s very patient with puppy Bitsy who likes to bite at and wrestle with her. She’s only been to the dog park once (due to the rainy weather lately), but loved it and had a great time running around chasing the other dogs and getting pets from all the people. I would rate her as medium energy - she has moments of zoomies but also enjoys a good nap! She doesn’t love going into the crate but will do it for food, then hangs out quietly in there while I’m at work. Honda is a very sweet, loving dog who will make a loyal companion!
Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.

The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!
