My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

CHAOS   was saved from a high kill shelter in Texas and arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on 24th September.  We post in east coast states and Canada as we have many families adopt and are happy to make the worthwhile trip up to the rescue.

We do not always have time to post all the pictures on each dogs individual page, but we do post a lot of photo's on the rescue Facebook page.

Chaos is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, monthly preventatives, heartworm and tick disease tested negative and is microchipped with 24PetWatch. He has an estimated date of birth of September 2020 and and on 20th September weighed 70 pounds. We have no way of knowing the breed, it is up to individuals to look at the pictures and videos to make up their own mind.

Having been here at the rescue for a few days, this is a very happy boy, he needs to gain some weight and needs a good bath and brushing, but he is so affectionate, extremely playful, he loves to be cuddled, is gentle and is desperate to chase the water when I am cleaning, however, since I use a pressure washer he cannot play - I think he would enjoy the water for sure.

The shelter noted the following on 2 September:

Housebroken. He's a bit unsure about interacting at first but once he comes around he is very playful. Extremely affectionate,  would run to be pet and falls over to have his belly rubbed. Absolutely loves to chase and chew on the tennis balls.

We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks.       He does need an active family who will ensure he gets all the exercise, both mentally and physically that he needs to live a happy fulfilling life.

CHAOS has an adoption fee of $550

Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue in SEBEC, Maine to meet and take home their new best friend.

Our process takes 1-2 days as long as we are able to talk to references, so be prepared to be approved (hopefully) to adopt within a few days of submitting the adoption application.

More about this rescue

Founded by Jenny an English woman who found her way to Texas on 14th February 2011 in San Antonio, Texas we saved dogs from the high kill shelters in Texas.

In July 2015, Jenny relocated herself and the rescue to the beautiful state of Maine, it's weather and people much like that of her home in Northern England.

We still save dogs from the high kill shelters in Texas where dogs have just 3 days to be saved. We vet them, they have veterinary examination and are issued with health certificates and then transported to the rescue in Sebec, Maine.
