My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Andre is a very tolerant boy who loves people and gets along with other cats. He doesn’t react to calm dogs nearby, and so may be fine living with a chill pup who can respect his space. He's more of a 'roommate cat' than a 'bestie' to other animals, but can generally coexist peacefully. Andre looooves to hunt for feather wand toys, scratch on an extra tall scratching post, investigate crinkle paper, chase kibble or toys that are tossed his way, and sit next to you for chin scratches.

Andre may be more of a wallflower at first in new situations (he is an introvert after all), but he will bounce back with some nice human reassurance. He really seems to thrive in a calm and quiet space without a lot of foot traffic, and so would likely prefer a home without small, active children. He is also very easy to handle for grooming, nail trims, and giving meds.

Andre is in remission from diabetes, which is maintained by a low-carb wet food diet! He is very food motivated and happily eats his special diet. Andre has recently been diagnosed with asthma, and currently gets pills twice a day, although he may transition to an inhaler in the future depending on how his symptoms respond to medication. Andre has also been tested negative for FIV and FeLV.
