My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Animal Profile: Piper is an estimated 4-month-old 19 lb spayed female "lab" mix but with something smaller as we expect she'll be less than 40 lbs full grown. She was a stray intake to the overcrowded Moreno Valley animal shelter, where she was assessed to be friendly with people and dogs, and shared a kennel with multiple other dogs. She will be arriving to foster care and we will share more info as we get to know her.

Foster Update: Piper is a fabulous puppy. She is smart, biddable and affectionate. She has taken so well to crate training and sleeps quietly in her crate through the night, and has had no accidents in the house (though she is watched carefully as she's still a puppy). She plays exuberantly with the playful resident dog, and respects the grumpy old resident dog. She is not fearful of the toddlers in the home and would do well in a home with children who are not scared of dogs. (She has moments of jumping that would be alarming to kids not familiar with dogs). She looks like she has some cattle dog in her but doesn't have any mouthy or herding behaviors that we've observed. This girl is quite special and sweet. p

Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550, which includes spay/neuter, current core vaccinations per AVMA standards, negative heartworm test and microchip with lifetime registration. Adoption fees benefit all the animals in our rescue, and may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 non-profit organization.
