My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Animal Profile: Jack is a 12 week old Lab/Aussie mix (best guess) who joined us from Texas on 09/16. His mom is a purebred Chocolate Lab that was purchased from a breeder, and wound up in the wrong hands when her family had to rehome her when they moved. Mom was allowed to free range, and had multiple litters, but this will be her last! Based on the coat types and size, we think dad was probably an Aussie type. Mom Cocoa has a sweet temperament; she’s friendly with dogs, cats and kids. These puppies are being raised in a foster home with other animals and small children, and will be great family pets.

Foster Update: Jack is a sweet and playful puppy who already shows a lot of confidence and seems highly trainable! Jack walks nicely on a leash, understands potty training, and is very cuddly. He always wants to be near his person and follows us around the house wherever we go! He is very curious and loves to play and chew on his toys. Jack seems to get upset when he’s away from us, and will need committed work on his kennel training. He has respected the boundaries of our resident cat and dog, and seems more interested in cuddling with people than playing with the other animals. Jack is very food motivated and is quick to come when he is called! We think he will be a great family pet so long as someone can keep a watchful eye on him and keep up with his constant exploration!
