Are you looking for a beautiful, loving companion kitty? Chai is the cat for you! He has had a very tough life for the last few years, but you would never know that by his personality. He is super sweet, and now that he is safe he's discovering the love of people again. Every day his adorable personality is emerging more and more.
Chai was rescued from a cat colony in East Greenville. There was concern because he was being bullied by the other cats and not thriving. SCB got him into foster care as soon as possible when we heard about him. He is friendly, previously neutered and has no ear tip, so we assume he had at one time belonged to someone. He is fully vetted, recovering from a sun burnt nose and in good health. We have no idea how long Chai has been on his own. He was living outdoors at this colony for at least the past two years. We estimate him to be 7 years old. How he came to be there is a mystery, but now that's all behind him and he has a bright future ahead.
Please be Chai's "soft landing" and provide him the security of his own home with the love he so richly deserves. He is an amazing cat!

Additional adoption info
During review of the application if you rent your home, we confirm with your landlord that you are allowed to have the cat per your lease.
We also consider if a particular cat is a good fit for your home. Certain cats will do better in homes without small children, or without other cats. Other cats may need to be adopted with a cat that they are bonded with. So we make sure that the cat and the home are a good match before completing an adoption.
Some of our fosters allow trial adoptions, where you would have 2-3 weeks to make sure that the cat being adopted was accepted by the other pets in your home. If you are interested in this, please ask your Adoption Representative.
All cats adopted from Stray Cat Blues have been screened for feline leukemia and FIV, inoculated, sterilized and wormed when they first come to us. Additional vet work is completed for those cats that require additional care. Healthy, adoptable cats and kittens are then housed through our network of foster homes until they are adopted.
You are also welcome to come visit cats at our PetSmart Collegeville and PetSmart North Wales/Montgomeryville locations (see times for adoption showings). If you see a cat there that you like, you can complete an adoption application there in person.
Questions - email us at: contact@straycatblues.org. We are happy to answer general questions, and also put you in touch with the foster families for questions about specific cats.
Adoption Fees:
• $150 - Kittens up to one year of age
• $100 - For cats over one year and up to 7 years of age
• $70 - For cats 7 years of age and over.
All fees are subject to Pennsylvania's 6% sales tax and a minimum of $5 or 5% service fee.
Fees for cats with special needs will be determined based upon circumstances and may result in a fee reduction.
