My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rupert is still a little guy, and maybe always will be small. He loves toys, and he was pretty much immediately comfortable and  making friends with the other kittens in his community room. He has no hesitation about ducking under other kittens to get where he wants to go.

Rupert came to us kinda scared. This wasn’t helped by the unfortunate fact that he desperately needed a bath. He needed multiple washes to get mostly clean, which really stressed him out. Luckily, Rupert LOVED the towel dry, and turned out to have a surprising amount of forgiveness in his tiny body as well as a big purr!

Rupert was born May of 2024. If he is not neutered by the time he is adopted, he will be on a spay/neuter contract. He is microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. As always, cat/kitten adoptions are free will donation to approved applicants. ****The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org****

More about this shelter

The ECAS is an all volunteer, no kill shelter. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome pets in need due to neglect, abandonment, abuse or from simply not being wanted! We started in 2010 due to a need in our community. We are currently a foster based organization and we are currently building our new shelter facility. We work hand in hand with other rescue and shelters in the area to help out when and where we are needed.
