My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dozer (came in before to Animal Control & was named Ben) is a good ol boy. He was trapped on 7-6-23 & given up after discovering his owner was in jail for awhile. Owner got out & came for him, but then surrendered him for good when he became homeless. Dozer does not like being in the shelter. He is an energetic cur mix that's about 3yo & wanting a chance to get out of jail himself & find a permanent home of his own.
He would benefit from obedience training to help engage his big busy brain! If you are looking for a friend that's always up for an adventure Dozer is your guy! He is a good, young man that needs a family with lots of exploring to do & participates in high energy activities! He did great with other dogs & loves attention from all people! He is HW negative, UTD on shots, neutered, & 46.8 lbs.

If in TN, we prefer people do the foster to adopt program before finalizing the adoption. That way we know that the home is a perfect fit for the dog & the new owner.

More about this shelter

I (Hollie) am a volunteer for City AC. I am in charge of the adoptions/fosters/ & volunteers. I am a full time teacher, but my passion is caring for animals. They need a voice & I try to do what I can to be theirs.
Keith is the Director of AC, but is very willing to work with whomever we can to get these babies into good homes! He does the stuff during week day hours & I cover the after hours & weekends.
