This handsome boy with the amazing ears is Malachi! He was surrendered to the shelter on 9/24 because his owner could no longer afford to care for him. Malachi's former family did tell us that he is house-trained, and he's good with kids. Malachi needs a hero because he's very shut down and scared in the shelter. He's a very sweet boy, but he needs someone who will be patient, kind, and give him time to decompress and learn to trust again. The volunteers have discovered that Malachi is smart; he knows how to sit and lay down nicely when asked. If you have a soft spot for the shy kids, please come meet Malachi today!

Cobb County Animal Services was established in 1971. As part of Cobb's Department of Public Safety, we serve the entire county, protecting the residents and animals of Cobb.
The mission of the Cobb County Animal Services Unit is to enforce state laws and county ordinances pertaining to animal control and management; educate the community on responsible pet ownership and wildlife care and provide housing and care for homeless animals, while coordinating their adoptions when possible and humane euthanization when adoptions are not possible.
