Jabba is a sweet 12 year old man who loves people and gets along with dogs. He is also heartworm positive so a nice calm home would be great for him. His little wrinkles are adorable. Jabba does well taking daily walks. He is very much so a napper kind of guy with his foster dad. He also goes outside to potty routinely as well.

The adoption fee for adult dogs, seven months and older, is $250. All pets are microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and will be altered prior to adoption. If you are interested in meeting a dog, please stop by the shelter during open hours. Dogs may be in a foster home, therefore scheduling an appointment is recommended. If you have an existing dog at home, we recommend bringing it along to meet your possible new family member.

We promote the humane care of all abandoned and stray animals in our community. We are a no-kill shelter. All of our pets leave the shelter for their forever homes micro-chipped, up to date on vaccines, and altered.

Founded in 2002, Helping Strays is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization supported entirely by donations.

Our lucky animals receive appropriate medical care, are featured on the Helping Strays website "adoption list" and are taken to several adoption events every month in an attempt to find permanent, loving homes.
