My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Fancy Pants is a 1 year old BichonPoo. She weighs 9 pounds and is from a mill. She is very shy and will need a patient home. She will also need a patient groomer as she hates to be groomed. We are working little by little to get her used to it. Fancy sleeps in bed with me at night and is pee pad trained. Her leash walking lessons are going slow but she is working on it. She loves to play with the dogs here and will chase the cat. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body and even when she has been the most scared here she has never bitten. Children scare her and she is a flight risk with an open door so we don't recommend a home with children. We know the perfect home for this little girl is out there. Her adoption fee is $350 and she has been spayed and microchipped. Please go to the website and fill out an application if you are interested in meeting her. www.susieqdogresq.com

More about this rescue

SusieQ Dog ResQ has a mission to rescue needy and unwanted dogs and keep them in our home until a home of their own can be found. I started my non profit venture following my volunteering in the rescue of animals in New Orleans after hurricane Katrina. It was then that I knew I wanted to focus on this full time. I do know that one person doing their part, no matter how large or small, can make a difference.I have met so many gracious, deserving pets over the years and try to give back the love and trust they put in me by improving their lives and giving them a chance to find a forever home.. I have met many dedicated people from all over the U.S. doing what they can to improve the lives of many formerly unwanted pets. I have fallen in love with my FOSTER FURRIES over the years and although it is always hard to let them go, just thinking of the next one needing to be saved helps me continue. I do this in my own home where I get to know each and every one of them very well and can make the best matches into new families. They all stay in my home and become part of our family until their own family can be found. I do this with the help of my husband, Ray, who is a retired Firefighter. We recieved our 501c3 non-profit status in 2007 so donations are tax deductible. Donations are needed to help with the vet bills and to keep my rescue going. We are volunteers so every dollar goes into caring for the animals. Thank you for considering a rescue dog.
