My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! I'm Andy! I'm a small dog with a ridiculously big smile! I'm a happy-go-lucky fella. I have a lot of things I like and not much I don't so here are some things that make me happy:

*Toys! Toys are so fun to chase down and carry around. I hope my new home will have some soft plushie toys for me to play with.

*People! I love love love to snuggle up. When you sit down, I'm likely to climb right into your lap and get comfy. Petting feels so good and I just really like to be close to people and part of the action.

Adventures! I am up for anything really! Let's go!

*Walks! I pull some on the leash but I can learn to walk next to you. At only about 20 pounds soaking wet, it's not much pulling, but still, I think it's best to learn good manners for when we go out-and-about. I'm smart too and I already know "sit" and will listen to you as you teach me. I'm a people-pleaser for sure.

Speaking of people, I just lost my human. I was adopted over three years ago to a wonderful man who took good care of me and we were total and utter besties. He was elderly and I am so sad to say, he died. I actually was left for a few days without anyone until he was found deceased and ya if you're wondering if that was scary YES IT SURE WAS. So now I'm a little confused, a little stressed, and a lot homeless.

Three years ago Desert Haven adopted me to my wonderful human and now I'm back at Desert Haven so they can find me another human to love me forever. Are you wondering how I can still be so upbeat and awesome even though I've lost so much? Well that happens to be who I am. A silver linings type of dog. So, time for me to be adopted into a family again. I am ready.

There you have it, folks. That's my story and I'm sticking to it! Ha ha ha! I'm Andy, your new dog! Love you and see you soon, Andy
