My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED
This incredibly SWEET and LOVING girl has yet to find her forever home! Nina is a 3-year-old, 45lb Schipperke/Shepherd mix who came to us as a stray from CA.

Nina loves to be with her people and is very attentive to her handler. She also loves to please and is a very quick learner, which is GREAT for training! She actually already knows some basic obedience and is more than ready and willing to learn more!

Nina enjoys going on walks and adventures with her person and is looking for that ride-or-die adventure buddy/family. She will be a very loyal and loving companion to whoever adopts her and will provide an ENORMOUS amount of love to that lucky person‘s life!

Nina can be overexcited when meeting new dogs and is still working on her doggie manners, so she requires slow introductions. If another dog is causing her stress, she can sometimes become growly and will protect herself. She would definitely be fine and happy as an only dog in a home soaking up all the love and attention. However, if there is another dog in the home, we will do a meet first to see how the pups get along. She is not tested with cats.

Nina takes treats softly and has been gentle with people but can be bouncy when she is excited. She truly has so many great qualities to work with and just needs a patient and loving home to nurture and help her continue becoming her best self!

Nina is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and will be spayed prior to adoption. Her adoption fee is $400.

More about this rescue

Forever Home Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We receive dogs from owner surrenders and overcrowded shelters. All of the dogs are housed in private, loving foster homes or a kennel in the greater Seattle area. We assess their behaviors and health and help them relax during their transition to a forever home. The dogs remain in foster care or in our kenneling facility until they are adopted. All of the dogs are/or will be spayed or neutered, microchipped and are current on routine vaccinations.

Forever home dog rescue is not a shelter and thus you cannot see the dogs without an appointment.

We need foster homes! Thinking about adopting a dog, but not sure yet about which breed or if you're ready for the long-term commitment? Consider becoming a foster parent. A foster dog placement can be anywhere from two weeks to several months. We provide any dog supplies you may need and cover all necessary medical costs for your foster dog. You provide the love and attention and bring the dogs to adoption events at least twice per month.

Interested? Send us an email at fhdrwa@gmail.com and we'll send you a foster application. It's lots of fun and you will meet lots of dogs and other people who love dogs.
