MR. MEANER AND RATTY ARE A BONDED PAIR THAT MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER.
Mr. Meaner (4Y) and Ratty (3Y) came to the rescue last summer because their loving families were unable to provide their necessary care. They were each surrendered from separate households as single ferrets to our rescue. Ferret Dreams introduced Mr. Meaner and Ratty so they would each have the companionship they so desperately desired. They have been inseparable since and are now a bonded pair.
Mr. Meaner leaves a bad first impression due to both his name but don’t let that fool you. This sweet boy has special needs. He has a condition called Waardenburg’s and he is deaf. He can bite too hard when he plays, and has trouble understanding humans don’t like that because he can’t hear us. We are working with him on his behavior and he would make an excellent ferret for experienced applicants. His health issues are unlikely to cause any additional vet visits or expenses. Ratty has no health concerns.
Mr. Meaner and Ratty have had positive experiences with cats, dogs and other ferrets. Due to Mr. Meaner’s behavioral challenges, he is not recommended for households with children.
All of our ferrets have been neutered (spayed / castrated) and descented. They have received their vaccinations for rabies and distemper as babies but we cannot guarantee any additional vaccinations have been continued.
Their total adoption fee is $450.

Our Mile High Ferret Club is an excellent opportunity to interact with the local ferret community. The monthly gatherings encourage ferret owners to bring their healthy and non-aggressive ferrets to play and socialize with others. These events also act as fundraisers to benefit the rescue. More details can be found on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/milehighferretclub.
