My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ruby is a vibrant 3-year-old medium-sized Terrier with a big personality. Full of energy and zest for life, Ruby is always ready for fun and playtime. Whether she’s bouncing around the yard or showering you with affection, Ruby’s enthusiasm is contagious.

Though her energy is endless, Ruby could use some help learning to settle down and focus. She’s eager to please but will thrive with a family that can dedicate time to her training. With a little patience and consistency, Ruby is sure to blossom into a well-mannered companion. She would love to be the only dog in a home, so that she can have all of your attention!

Ruby is loving, loyal, and always ready to give kisses. She’s looking for an active forever family who can keep up with her playful spirit while helping her learn the joys of relaxation. If you’re searching for a dog that’s as lively as she is affectionate, Ruby just might be your perfect match!

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
