`Parton` me, but why is Dolly still available for adoption? This sweet girl has worked 9 to 5 trying to be the best dog, showcasing her gentle personality, but still hasn`t found her forever family! Dolly is a 4-year-old female American Pit Bull Terrier mix, weighing about 58 pounds. She came to the shelter as a stray on 9/24/24 in poor condition due to a bad skin condition, but after some care and treatment, she`s on the mend and ready to bond with her new family. Dolly can be a bit shy at first, but once she trusts you, she’s a loyal and loving companion. She recently went on a Dog`s Day Out and attended a pet adoption event where she was on her best behavior, getting along well with other dogs and children. Dolly loves going for walks, exploring, and taking in all the sights and sounds of the world around her. Could Dolly be the one you`ve been waiting for? After all, who wouldn`t want a Dolly that’s as sweet as “Jolene” but without the heartache?
This pup has a sponsored adoption fee, meaning you can bring her home spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated at no cost to you!

More about this shelter
The Daviess County Animal Shelter receives thousands of animals annually. Some of them are returned to their owners, some find new homes, but unfortunately some are never placed in a home. This is why it is so important that these animals find new homes.
