Hi! I'm Tesha, the tiny tripod. I'm just about two months old. Even though I've been through a lot, I'm the sweetest, bravest little puppy you'll ever meet.
I was found in a pipe with a broken leg. Once I was warm and safe, the vet examined me and determined I'd be better off with just three super strong legs, so I became a mighty tripod! Now that I'm not in pain from that broken leg, I'm zipping around and recovering very nicely. When I go to my new home, I'll have my stitches out and I can stop wearing this cone!
I have a beautiful cream-colored coat with just a few little markings around my nose. Everyone loves my little floppy ears and the adorable puppy sounds I make.
Since I'm a very young girl, I'll need an adopter who has the time and patience to keep training me and helping me learn dog skills.
Here are some things I'm working on with my foster family:
- House training! When the door opens, I head straight for the grass. If my new owner lets me out every few hours, I shouldn't have many accidents! I even tend to run over to the door when I need to go.
- Since I'm still recovering from my surgery and I'm tiny (about 5 lbs right now!) I'm still getting used to wearing a harness and being on the leash. But I love being outside and with some training, I should be a very happy leash walker.
- I love meeting people. While I'm pretty mouthy because I'm teething, I'm good with kids who are old enough to help reinforce my training. One of my best cuddle buddies is a 9 year old girl. I love playing with her. I need lots of stimulation and toys when I'm in a playful mood.
- After I'm done playing, I'll happily settle in for a nice long nap next to you. Or sometimes right on top of my snuffle mat (my new favorite toy).
Like most tripods, I adapted very quickly. Having three legs doesn't slow me down!
I can't wait to meet my new family and give them all the puppy kisses they can handle!
