Meet Foxy Rue, a resilient 7-year-old Shih Tzu with a heart full of love and a story of triumph. Weighing just 10 pounds, this sweet girl has overcome more than her fair share of challenges. When she was abandoned, Foxy Rue came to us with an infected uterus, heartworm positive, neglected dental hygiene, mammary tumors, and painful skin infections.

But with the incredible care from *Angels Among Us*, Foxy Rue has made a fantastic recovery! She's had a full dental cleaning, her mammary tumors have been removed. and her hair has grown back. We are waiting on the results of her tumor removal, and once cleared, she will need a follow-up with our vet to confirm her heartworms are gone. Foxy Rue is a quiet and cuddly companion who loves lounging and snuggling.

She enjoys curling up in her dog bed and is fully potty-trained. However, she is stressed when in her crate, so she’d do best in a home where she can have the freedom to relax in her own space. We believe she would enjoy going for walks but have not been able to test this due to her recovery.

Submit Application

Submit an adoption application at www.angelsrescue.org/adopt and a member of our Adoption Team will contact you for an interview.

2.
Meet the Pet

Our pets are located in foster homes. Once your application is approved, you will be connected with the foster family.

3.
Home Check

The foster family will do a brief home visit to ensure that it's a perfect match between family & pet!

4.
Pay Fee

Adoption fees range from $50 - $150 for cats and $150 - $300 for dogs. Specials and discounts may apply.

Sign Adoption Contract

We ask that all pets and family members meet your potential new pet so that everyone can be sure they are the right fit!

Puppies and kittens under 4 months may only be adopted locally. Fully vetted and altered pets may be adopted out of state.
