For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
Meet Tweety, a medium-sized mix breed pup weighing around 30 pounds. This special girl was found as a stray two years ago in a neighboring county. Her finders, with the help of the local shelter, got her spayed and up to date on vaccinations. They took ownership of Tweety, giving her a loving home, but now, due to their move, Tweety finds herself in need of a new family once again.
Tweety is a unique pup with an unusable front right leg due to a birth defect, but she doesn't let that slow her down one bit! She’s incredibly affectionate and very well-mannered. Having lived with children and cats, she gets along wonderfully with both. Despite her birth defect, Tweety doesn’t realize she’s any different and navigates life with the same zest as any other dog.
While Tweety is a strong little pup and may need some help with her leash manners, her compact body is full of love and energy. If you are interested in meeting any of our animals, we encourage you to first visit our website and submit an adoption application: acskc.org/adoption/adoption-application
Once your adoption application has been approved, we will call you to set up an appointment to meet with the pet! We welcome adopters from out of state to apply!
_ When it comes to our pets, we're all-inclusive! Find out what's included when you adopt from ACSKC: https://acskc.org/adoption/before-you-adopt/#whats-included
