My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Willy is a 2-year-old, 59.6-pound American Pit Bull Terrier mix with a heart full of love to give. This sweet, gentle giant can be a bit shy when you first meet him, but give him a little time, and you'll see him warm up quickly. Once he's comfortable, Willy loves to be near his people, always eager for affection and companionship. Willy has a playful side too! He enjoys entertaining himself by tossing and shaking his toys around. He's shown a particular fondness for treats and will sit patiently with those big, hopeful eyes, waiting for his reward. With his loving nature, Willy would make a wonderful addition to any home looking for a friendly and adorable companion. We do not know for sure how he will do with other animals or children.

We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment ONLY. If you are interested in adopting, please contact us via email at jcas@co.johnson.in.us or call 317-738-6090 during regular business hours. We will happily help get an application to you. Once an application is submitted and approved, we can contact you to set an appointment to meet the pet!

Our adoption fee is $150.00 for dogs, $75 for kittens under 6 months of age and $50 for all cats 6 months and older. This will include a rabies vaccination (if age appropriate), spay or neuter, a microchip with registration, and all other age appropriate vaccinations.

More about this shelter

We are the all admittance shelter in Johnson County, we are not a 501c3, but a county run facility. We try our best to place each and every animal. We also house all animals picked up by Animal Control therefore; we intake a high volume of animals each year.
