My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Josephine! She is a really sweet little girl who would love to accompany her new family on their adventures.

Josephine is believed to be a Beagle / Cocker spaniel mix, and she is 6 months old and 15 lbs. (Her estimated full grown weight is around 20-22 lbs.)

Josephine was found as a stray in Houston, and brought into an over crowded, high kill shelter. She is now safe in a foster home in Colorado, waiting for a fresh start.

From Josephine's foster:
"Josephine is SUCH a great puppy! We spoil her rotten here and love her! She does amazing with our 3 dogs, and she is also so so so sweet with our kids (9 & 11 years old). She absolutely loves people and other dogs and really just is such a happy girl!
She does amazing in a crate. We do let her sleep in bed with us at night; she sleeps under the covers with us. She is good on leash and doesn't pull much. She is pretty dang perfect!!!"

We're open to Josephine finding her forever home with a very active couple or individual with lots of time and energy to train and enjoy a young dog. A family or individual that works from a home office or just part-time would also be perfect..Josephine is too young and social of a girl to be left alone all day while her family works full-time outside of the home.

Josephine enjoys the fun and play-time that occurs with children and other pets in the home. We think a family with dog-crazy older kids (we'd prefer the kinder handling of kids 9+) would be a great choice for our people-loving pup. Josephine would love a family to sleep next to and enjoy the sunshine together on a beautiful day.

Josephine is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations.

Applications are currently being accepted and can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If you're interested in this extremely sweet, cuddly and fun-loving best friend, please fill out our application completely and submit.

**PLEASE NOTE** Farfel's Rescue makes huge efforts to place our dogs with families that are excellent matches. We do this through our application found on farfels.com or at the link provided above (never through rescue site apps such as RescueMe, Petfinder or Adoptapet as they don't provide enough information) If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out the Farfel's Rescue adoption application.. It's the only initial tool that we have to determine a great match for this very deserving puppy. We're sorry, but in most cases, we're unable to get back to those that don't submit a Farfel's adoption application. Thanks very much for choosing rescue.
