My name is Dexter!

Dexter is a 7 year old, 21 lb Dachshund mix. If you're looking for a sweet, gentle, easy-going little guy, then Dexter might just be what you've been looking for! Dexter found himself in an over crowded shelter and when no one came looking for him, Humane Tomorrow pulled him and he's been enjoying the good life in a foster home but is now ready to find a home of his own. Dexter will bond quickly with his new family and would appreciate a home where someone is home more than not. He has never met a stranger and gets along great with his foster siblings. Dexter is happy to share his home with another laid-back guy like himself or he'd be ok as an only dog as long as his family included him in as much fun as possible. He will make a great addition to any family. Dexter enjoys soaking up the sun on the back patio, leisurely walks in the neighborhood, or just spending time with his family. Dexter is still working on his housetraining skills but is improving every day, he will need a family that understands this and has the time to continue to reinforce his training.
