Dexter is a 7 year old, 21 lb Dachshund mix. He has such handsome and unique markings, so we have no idea what breed he is mixed with. How many other dogs would allow silly people to take their picture in a cowboy hat? Dexter is enjoying the good life in his foster home, but he is now ready to find a home of his own. Dexter will bond quickly with his new family and would appreciate a home where someone is home more than not. He has never met a stranger, and everyone who meets Dexter loves Dexter! He is happy to share his home with another small, laid-back dog or he would be just as happy as an only dog. Dexter enjoys soaking up the sun on the back patio, leisurely walks in the neighborhood, or just spending time with his family. All potential adopters must fill out an application for the animal they want to adopt, which is available on our website. Humane Tomorrow does not do adoptions outside of the DFW Metroplex.
Our adoption fees are...
Cats:
$150 for most kittens and cats
Dogs:
$250-$300 for most puppies and dogs
The adoption fee helps to cover the costs of basic preventative care including spay or neuter, vaccines (including Rabies and virals), heartworm tests and preventative for dogs, FeLV/FIV tests for cats, in addition to extra medical care the animal may need, such as heartworm treatment, dental, or surgery. Often our adoption fees do not even cover costs for basic medical care the animals need, and are certainly cheaper than if all these procedures were covered by the owner.
Humane Tomorrow reserves the right to deny any application for any reason.
