Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Rugar is a one family dog! H likes his people but is not sure about visitors, deliveries or other animals. Rugar spent the majority of his time in a pen. He needs a savvy owner who is cautious with his introductions. Foster mom says he does ok with one-o e introductions of teens and adults. No small kids. He will play with other dogs, briefly, but prefers to be boss. Rugar is good in his crate and kennel. He will make a loyal and protective companion! They don’t get more handsome!

Additional adoption info
Persons adopting from me through internet contact are required to show me photos of the area where the dog will spend most of its time, a vet's number and the number of a person who has known the potential adopter for at least 5 years. I do not require a fee, donations are appreciated. If a dog does not work out for the adopter, I can usually take it back right away, but if I have no room, I will work to find a new placement.

More about this rescue
I am a retired public school teacher, mother of 3, grandma of 7, and I do this because I love to join people and pets. I have always been one to bring home strays, so this is just a part of who I am. I own a small hobby farm with dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, sheep and goats..
