Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Lulu is available through our `Adopt From a Foster Home` program. Please email adopt@calgaryhumane.ca if you are interested in scheduling a meeting. Please do not make an appointment through our online booking calendar, as Lulu is not available to meet on site.
Age: 1.5 years Weight: 4.15 kg
Who has two thumbs and loves to play? This guy! Step aside “Boy Named Sue” because this boy’s name is Lulu. Due to his big paws, unique markings and long, bushy fur, Lulu`s foster parent believes he may be a Maine Coon mix. This polydactyl fellow has three favourite things – play time, being close to his people, and yummy food. Lulu’s favourite toy is a little rubber ball that rolls and bounces in delightfully unpredictable ways. His extra large front paws allow Lulu to catch the ball while it’s rolling, sometimes lifting it to play with it and sometimes rolling it right back to whoever rolled it to him. While having kids to play with could be a big plus for Lulu, he can sometimes be a bit mouthy when communicating, so Lulu’s forever home should have older kids only. Experience also indicates that Lulu might enjoy having an energetic and playful feline companion. So, do you want to play? Are you the one (or more) to let Lulu give you snuggles and show you what a sweet boy he is? Email the adoptions team today for more information!

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.
Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.
Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.
Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.
Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.
Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
