Hello! Lily here! I was surrendered to the shelter with my three siblings because our owner didn't have time for us anymore. I now am searching for my new forever home! I am pretty skittish at first, so you will need to take it slow with me until I get comfortable. Once I am though, man, am I a spitfire! I like a good booty scratch and cuddle in your lap, but I will also run and play to my heart's content as well! You'd think I was a hound dog for how much I love my nose to the ground for a good sniff session! I am great with all people, children included! I did live with my siblings in past home, but we didn't always get along. That being said, I may be able to share a home with another dog in the future given it's a good fit. Think I could be your perfect match? Ask to meet me at the shelter!

HSSC places animals on a first come, first serve basis. After an animal that is available for adoption has been met with, the animal’s name can be put on an application. Animals that are applied for must be adopted the same day or within 24 hours of the animal being placed on the adoption application. Exceptions will be made if any animal needs a medical procedure, but then will need to be adopted within 24 hours of being cleared from that procedure. HSSC reserves the right to accommodate alternate timelines for special needs/behavioral issue animals.
It is the potential adopter's responsibility to communicate with their landlord to contact HSSC for approval or to provide documentation stating permission within 24 hours of application submission.
It is also the potential adopter's responsibility to produce a current rabies certificate for their current dog(s) to conduct a dog to dog meet and greet within 24 hours of application submission.
