Yertle is a young female red eared slider turtle. These turtles are very popular as pets and are also the most commonly released turtle into the wild. If you are interested in adopting Yertle, please make sure that you are willing to commit to at least 20 years.

***Does not come with enclosure. Adopters should be prepared to show proof of a proper enclosure set up before adoption***

***NOTE*** Please remember that animals are coming back from foster care to the centres for their meet and greets. They will be experiencing a new environment and meeting new people, which means they may not exhibit the same behaviours they did in their foster videos or while in foster care.

Come into the Centre and if you see a pet you like, you are able to do a "Meet and Greet" with that pet. Spend some time in alone with the pet or take a dog out for a short walk. If you are still interested in adopting the pet you can meet with one of our Adoption Counsellors who will have you fill out and application and will ask you some questions about the environment in which you live. If you seem like a wonderful match and your envirnoment meets the needs of the pet then your application should be approved!
