My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 4 years
Weight: 6.28 kg

Say hello to Cleo, the sweet gentle giant looking for her new forever. While she may be a bit shy with new people, she'll happily accept pets and scratches once she's warmed up. Cleo was great with the kids in her previous home and may do well with children that are able to read her body language. A bit on the lazy side, a slow and gradual weight-loss would do great for getting her to a slimmer weight. It was also noted that Cleo has a bit of a mischievous side and will try to steal things like socks or toys and take them to her food bowl or bed as "trophies". It will never be a dull moment when you bring Cleo home, so what are you waiting for? Come say hello today!

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
