My name is Rondo!

Welcome to P3 rescue and the rest of your life, sweet Rondo boy!

We just saved this love bug from the PG County Shelter where he ended up on the urgent list due to lack of space. Rondo was a volunteer favorite and we had to make sure to get him to safety so he's now decompressing in a loving foster home, where foster mom already calls him a "phenomenal snuggler".

Here's some info from his foster: Rondo's energy level is moderate to low, and he matches the energy of his environment incredibly well. He's calm inside the house, but playful. He'll get tiny surges of zoomies while on walks and will spin around briefly (totally appropriate). He does not seem to have a prey drive. Rondo has gone into his crate on his own to lounge (door open). He's housetrained and not destructive so has been fine in the basement for 1-2 hours. Plus, he sleeps through the night like a champ!

Rondo has no reactivity towards other dogs while on leash walks. He is a gentleman when it comes to socializing with other dogs, and leaves them alone if they don't want to play.

Rondo is also excellent with kids. He seeks out pets and kisses, but does not jump or rough-house. He is comfortable and not scared at all. When walking around the neighborhood, anytime he sees new people he gently wags his tail in the hopes that they will come over - it's super sweet.

In addition, here's the description of one of the shelter volunteers about this wonderful boy:

"Rondo is a gentleman (and probably a scholar)! He's a lean build but still a big boy [and he needs to gain some weight] with a unique seal-esque coloring [...] he's just a gentle, well mannered boy who is still down to party with the kids! He adores people, enjoys a few sprints, and is food motivated. Rondo sits like a champ and may have known "down (to lay down) at one point in time, or he's a quick learner! He gives the best kisses and is easy to walk. Rondo was content to lay in the grass and soak up affection. When he got to meet the large puppy Taylor, he showed he can keep up with the best of them in play and was adorably doing bitey face. Rondo is a fantastic dog that seems to be on the lower energy side and likely to get along with friends of all ages and types."
