My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rosie is guessed to be an 8 yr old Terrier/Chihuahua mix, around 9 lbs. She acts like a mother figure to sister Sophia. She is protective of her people, but like her sister, wants nothing more than to snuggle with you or follow you around in a quiet house. She loves her little cat toys and isn't afraid to go out in the rain. Rosie does resource guard food, toys and her human, so although bonded they must eat supervised, from separate bowls. With a gentle reminder, she knows she has to share her human with other dogs, lol. If shown which toys are Sophia's, she will leave them be. Her name should be snuggle butt! Her and Sophia would love to find a new forever home together! They are waiting in Aurora.

Go meet their pets

Over 75% of our dogs are in foster homes along the front range. The foster will get in touch to schedule meetings for their foster dog. Meetings will happen in/near their homes since that is where the dog is the most comfortable. We do want you to bring family members (human and dog) to the meeting! Dogs who are currently at our Windsor facility will have meetings there and a volunteer will reach out to schedule those meetings with you. Please be aware that we do not place our dogs on a first come, first served basis, but rather a best-fit placement. Never fear, applications are valid for a year so if the first dog you meet isn't a good fit, we will have plenty of time to find one that is.
