Meet Finnegan, aka Lil Wayne.

Finnegan was adopted from us a few months ago. You may remember him as Lil Wayne. Unfortunately he was just recently returned and is once again looking for his forever home.

Our trainer has offered to sponsor half of his adoption fee as well as a free training session when he goes home to set him and his adopters up for success!

Finnegan was very nervous and defensive when he first came to us which is totally understandable. But even upon intake while he was scared, he had some moments where he cuddled up and hid in the arms of one of our adoption counselors.

After some much needed decompression time, he really came out of his shell and started showing off his silly personality.

In his cage he is still pretty scared and defensive but outside of his cage, once he knows he's safe, he has been such a delight: happy, hyper, friendly, affectionate, and outgoing.

He is definitely flighty and can get spooked easily too so his new family will have to make sure he has no chance of running away while he is still new to them and scared.

Finnegan is nervous around other dogs, especially dogs that are his size or bigger. He may be okay with small dogs with a super slow introduction. He is incredibly smart and knows lots of commands.

Finnegan is vocal and loves to sing. He is not a fan of strangers and does have some behavioral issues that we are trying to work through with him. His ideal home is a calm home with no children and an experienced dog owner who will work with our trainer.

He does not do well in the shelter environment, so we are hoping we can find him a foster to adopt home sooner rather than later, for his own mental health.

We have seen two completely different sides of Finnegan in the time that we have known him. We just know with the right family he will really thrive and show even more of his amazing personality off.

Finnegan is around 5 years old and 30lbs. He's a very handsome boy and tasty food is the way to his heart.

Finnegan is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm tested negative, and kept on prevention here with us.
