Meet Sonny! Sonny is a 4-year-old miniature poodle that came from a "breeder" who no longer wanted him after he was retired. He came into our care on 9-21-24 with 4 other dogs from his home. He has since been neutered and treated for an ear infection.

He is a sweet boy who needs a little bit of patience when opening up to new people. It is clear that he was used for breeding and not given as much love or socialization as he deserves. He does well with the dogs that he came in with, is very quiet, and was a good boy for his bath and medical exam. We can't wait to show this boy what a real family feels like!

His adoption fee is $500. The adoption fee includes their care, de-worming, microchip, neuter, vaccines, fecal test, and preventatives up to the point of adoption. He also just had an oral procedure to clean his teeth.

More about this shelter

Judy’s Forgotten Jewells is a licensed Non-Profit No Kill Animal Rescue Group. It was founded by Patricia L. Smith DVM in honor of her mother’s childhood dog “Judy Dog” and Jewell Animal Hospital. Dr. Smith believes that ALL animals deserve quality pet care and a loving home. Our rescue is supported by volunteers, the hospital staff, and pet passionate people in our community who donate money and supplies. Our goal is to help the pets who are at risk of being euthanized, pregnant and or homeless.
