My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lazarus is a miracle kitty. He was the runt of the litter and was near death when our rescue network was alerted. Miraculously, Lazarus cheated death and came back to life after many efforts was devoted to saving him. He was named Lazarus in memory of his recover which was due to the power of shed tears, prayers and, of course, warm kitten milk.

Despite his small stature, Lazarus is the king of mischief. He is the most impish of all the kitties in his foster home. He is fostered with multiple cats and one elderly dog. His zeal for life is expressed in his fearless attempts to scale high regions and to wrestle his larger feline siblings daily for championship. He loves the elderly dog in the household and will often lie next to her. He tries very hard to cajole her into play and unfortunately, his favorite catch toy is her plumy tail. So often, he will get a gentle "woof" as a reprimand for his naughty antics.

We are selectively looking for a perfect, loving home for Lazarus. Aside from his gorgeous chocolate Siamese good looks, this kitty is inquisitive and very curious. He is also quite social with all the animals in the home so we are actively looking for a home with another young cat AND a gentle dog who would not mind being teased by a loving, naughty feline companion. We prefer that he goes to a home where his owners will have the time to dote on him. Due to the nature of his rescue, Lazarus is VERY special to our rescue, and we hope that potential owners will not simply apply for him because of his good looks alone.

Please note the following: We always do vet reference checks, and we WILL NOT adopt kittens or cats into household where the residential pets are unvaccinated. This is to ensure the safety of BOTH our kitten/cat and your current pets. We also only adopt locally and will reserve the right to deny Meet and Greet as our volunteers cannot do any home visits if the distance is too great.

This is a No Exception Rule: Due to its young age, this kitty cannot be adopted into a home that has no other young cat(s) or kitten(s) for it to socialize with. Consider adopting the kitty with a sibling if you don't already have a kitten or cat at home.

To meet Lazarus, please text 214 621 1139 for an application to meet.

More about this rescue

Our Mission Statement:
To match every cat or kitten within our foster program with a permanent, loving family.

We are a small network of rescue volunteers based in the DFW area who are banding together to foster and adopt out rescued cats and kittens!

Our cats and kittens come to us under a variety of conditions: Some of our cats were rescued from hoarding situations or surrendered by their owners, while others were found by good Samaritans after being dumped and abandoned. Some of our mother cats were tossed out, pregnant and malnourished, because their owners never spayed them and did not want litters of kittens in their homes. Our luckiest kittens were born inside our fosters' homes and have known nothing but love and affection from humans. Each of our cats and kittens has been through a big journey and has a unique story to tell.

We all work towards a common goal of finding these sweet, loving cats a wonderful forever home where they will be cherished and pampered for the rest of their lives.
