Here's what the humans have to say about me:
FOR ADOPTION: TONKS is a super petite 13 month old female looking for a compassionate forever family. This sweet little lady’s journey with NWAS started with a phone call from one of our amazing vet clinics letting us know that there was a labouring mother in distress with a kitten stuck. The cat did not have a family of her own and the kind people that took her into their garage so she could have a sheltered space to give birth could not cover major vet bills. We quickly decided we could help this poor cat and agreed to take her in. Luckily the vet clinic talked the people through some steps to get the kitten dislodged at home as they were almost 2 hours from the closest vet. The people were able to safely remove the stuck kitten and Tonks and four of her babies survived the terrifying ordeal. Once momma and babies were settled we had them moved to a loving foster home and Tonks was able to raise her little family. Tonks’s sons are now 4 months old (and twice her height, she really is petite), they have been weaned and Tonks is all recovered from her spay surgery. Tonks was just a baby when she got pregnant and we don’t know how much time she spent around humans prior to being found by the kind people that took her in to have her brood. She is still figuring out the nuances of being a companion animal but she wants nothing more than some kind people to snuggle and hopefully a feline playmate. Tonks can get overwhelmed by loud and busy movements so she is currently best suited to a home aged 10+ so help her become her best pet self, once she is settled into home life she could learn to enjoy younger children. Tonks LOVES other cats and really wants a buddy to play with and cuddle, she would be thrilled to have a confident feline role model and friend in her new home. She did live in a foster home with a large respectful dog and did well with him, we do think she would run from and overly exuberant pup. Tonks has seems very happy indoor only with a large window to watch the world through. She could eventually learn to enjoy a secure catio. She is so sweet with a big desire to be loved and works hard everyday to understand how to best communicate with the humans around her. Now that she is spayed, vaccinated and up to date on parasite control Tonks would love to find a forever family with the patience and love to help her finish learning.
