Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
From her foster: Meet Polo! She is a very sweet and affectionate girl. She comes running when her name is called and jumps into my lap for pets while making biscuits and purring! She lovessss to play (wand toys being her favorite), perch on the cat tower and watch birds, loves her meal times, and wrestling or chasing with my cat. Polo has a sweet squeaky meow that melts my heart!
Once she warms up she is so loving, silly, and loves to play. She was shy for the first week or so but now she acts like she owns the place, she's a little queen! She is very good with other cats so I bet she would love to have a kitty companion, but she would also be happy to be queen of the home and love on her humans. She plays and cuddles with my resident cat most of the day which is fun to watch. She is also dog friendly but hasn't interacted much with mine. She will hiss if a dog gets too excited toward her, but that's just her setting boundaries. I am unsure how she is with children, but she is always happy for attention! So slow intros in a calm environment would be beneficial.
Polo uses her litter box 100% of the time, she's picky about her food but I can tell you the stuff she loves, she can be vocal and loves to say hello or tell you she's hungry, when I come home she greets me at the door, she is good at entertaining herself with toys but of course loves playing with humans the most, she is shy with strangers at first but will come out to investigate when she deems it safe, she will cuddle for a few minutes at a time before she finds something interesting to investigate, she has scratched up one of my wicker baskets but leaves everything else alone, she likes to sleep in the bed at night sometimes, she loves catnip and will roll around in it, she loves to be brushed, trimming her nails can be difficult but she allows me to do it, she will jump on the counters but listens when I say to get down, she will try to eat your food, she never tries to run outside, she's super silly, and loves watching Cat TV!
Overall she's such a great, sweet little cat and has been a joy to have around. I'm happy to answer any questions if I haven't covered something.

More about this rescue
The Bond Between is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that focuses on the bond between humans and animals. We were founded in 2009 as Secondhand Hounds. Since then, we have rescued over 29,000 dogs and cats with the help of thousands of fosters, volunteers, and supporters in our community. Our organization has grown from a rescue to a first-in-its-class animal wellbeing organization... now The Bond Between! We continue to provide safe shelter, proper veterinary care, and daily necessities for animals while working hard to help them build a bond with humans. We also focus on supporting the bonds that already exist between people and pets with our pet food shelf, respite foster care program, and focus on social services.
We wake up every morning saying YES to connecting people and animals, caring for them, and helping them fill each other’s hearts.
You can help support us today by donating, fostering, volunteering, or sharing The Bond Between.
