My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Sprig and I am from Minnesota.

From her foster: Sprig is a skinny little cat with long legs. She really good with people, started purrrr and rub against my leg immediately I let her out of crate when she arrive our home the first day. She love people rub her all over, including her tail! Her fur very silky and soft!
She hide in somewhere dark and secret the first few days and looks like disappear, but sometimes when i come close and said meow, she will meow back and slowly show up and play with me. So I call her meow meow, and now when I call her by that name, she show up real quick. The first few days she has a little bit temper when I try to stop her from eating something cat shouldn't eat or stop her from scratching or bite me, but after she adjusted the new environment, she not easily get annoyed. It may take one week or more for sprig to adjust new environment.
Sprig loves rub but not a fan of being pick up or sit on lap. But she loves to sit next to people, or in the same room. She is a great reading or studying or working buddy.
Since our resident pup is not so friendly, sprig will hiss back when my pup barks at her. But when pup gets chill sprig also very chill, so I think sprig will ok with chill or friendly dog. Not sure about cat but since sprig is very social I think she good with cat.

Go meet their pets

The Bond Between's goal is to not keep any animals at our rescue office. The majority of our animals are living in foster homes until they are adopted. Occasionally, animals are living in our rescue office that are in need of a foster home.

If you would like to meet an animal at our office who needs a foster, please reach out to inofficeanimals@thebondbetween.org and fill out our foster interest form at https://www.thebondbetween.org/foster

More about this rescue

The Bond Between is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that focuses on the bond between humans and animals. We were founded in 2009 as Secondhand Hounds. Since then, we have rescued over 29,000 dogs and cats with the help of thousands of fosters, volunteers, and supporters in our community. Our organization has grown from a rescue to a first-in-its-class animal wellbeing organization... now The Bond Between! We continue to provide safe shelter, proper veterinary care, and daily necessities for animals while working hard to help them build a bond with humans. We also focus on supporting the bonds that already exist between people and pets with our pet food shelf, respite foster care program, and focus on social services.

We wake up every morning saying YES to connecting people and animals, caring for them, and helping them fill each other’s hearts.

You can help support us today by donating, fostering, volunteering, or sharing The Bond Between.
