Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
From her foster: Ivy is confident and playful. She loves pets and to be near people. She gets along well with other cats.
Her favorite form of play with other cats is running/chasing. Her favorite playmate in her foster home is a big male cat who is twice her size. She likes to try to instigate play by jumping on and biting his neck (not aggressively!). Based on this, I'd consider her to have more of a dominant than submissive personality in cat dynamics. There is another cat in her foster home that Ivy mostly leaves alone. This other cat is anxious and does not want to play with Ivy, which took Ivy some time to realize, but she now respects her space.
Ivy loves to lounge in sunspots and anywhere on a cat tree. She looooves to creature-watch from the windows.
Ivy was found as a stray, but you'd never know it from how trusting she is of people. She is, however, very interested in the outdoors. For being such an easily visible cat, she is very sneaky when the door opens. You'll need to be careful with this. If her new family is willing to take her on walks (on a leash), she would love it!
Ivy is not a lap cat (at least not presently), but she does love to get pets (including on her belly!). If you're relaxing in front of the tv or something, she'll jump up to you say hi, then go on her merry way. Every night, she'll join you when you first go to bed, but she usually leaves at some point in the night.
Other things to know about Ivy:
Normal eating and drinking habits.
Perfect litter box manners. Her foster home gives her multiple boxes to choose from, and she seems to appreciate having more than one.
Her foster home does not have a dog, so we do not how she would do with a dog. Based on how confident and outgoing she is, it would not be a surprise to us if she got along with (cat-friendly) dogs.
Ivy brings a lot of laughs into the home. She gets the zoomies frequently. She loves to be in your space - sometimes it feels like she thinks we're in a race and she wants to be first to wherever I'm headed.
Ivy is also pretty stubborn. When she wants to do something, she won't relent until she's done it (e.g., discover the unknown world of a closed-door closet).
Ivy's purrfect forever home will have:
Another playful cat. Ivy is too playful and energetic to be alone.
No young children (who are inexperienced with animals). Ivy really loves people, but she has a spicy side every once in a while.
A lot of windows to watch birds, squirrels and other creatures.
Space for zoomies.
Tall cat tree.
A person or people who love to love her!

More about this rescue
The Bond Between is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that focuses on the bond between humans and animals. We were founded in 2009 as Secondhand Hounds. Since then, we have rescued over 29,000 dogs and cats with the help of thousands of fosters, volunteers, and supporters in our community. Our organization has grown from a rescue to a first-in-its-class animal wellbeing organization... now The Bond Between! We continue to provide safe shelter, proper veterinary care, and daily necessities for animals while working hard to help them build a bond with humans. We also focus on supporting the bonds that already exist between people and pets with our pet food shelf, respite foster care program, and focus on social services.
We wake up every morning saying YES to connecting people and animals, caring for them, and helping them fill each other’s hearts.
You can help support us today by donating, fostering, volunteering, or sharing The Bond Between.
