Meet the Pet
Arlo is a cross post for the Richardson Animal Shelter. She is currently in a foster home and is available for adoption. For more information contact Kathy Estes @972-979-6981 or email kestes71@yahoo.com.
Arlo is a 6 year old lab mix, that loves to chill with her favorite person, but still has energy and likes to go outside and play. She has access to a doggie door at the fosters home, but most the time she prefers to lay inside the door, watching the backyard in case a squirrel enters the perimeter. She is potty trained and crate trained and she actually doesn't mind the sound of a vacuum or thunderstorms. She is a confident dog so she doesn't mind occupying herself, she loves bones and toys, but she definitely loves her humans.
A meet and greet would be required if you have another dog. She is not cat friendly, but she is very kid friendly. She gets barky when she meets a new dog, but we have had her in the yard with dogs before and she has done well, so they would just have to meet to see if they get along with one another. She doesn't require an adopter to have another dog, she does well on her own as well.
The video attached is of Arlo and Dixie, who was a pup she lived with at the fosters house for a long time. Dixie has been adopted, so Arlo is the only one now looking for her forever home!
