For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
Maggie was a neighborhood cat that ended up in the right people's yard. She had a litter of kittens at the beginning of summer 2024, the babies were taken to foster care and Maggie disappeared. She turned up at the end of summer and her foster went to pick her up to spay her, and found two little kittens. Maggie and her babies all went to foster care and their futures looked much brighter.
Maggie will never have to have kittens on the street again. She will be spayed and is looking for a place to call her own where she can live like the princess she is.
Maggie has the softest fur. She has striking markings, such a pretty color combination.
She settled into the indoor life within 24 hours. She sits on her foster mom's keyboard, Maggie is much more important than her foster mom's work. She loves attention from her humans and loves giving attention to her babies.
She doesn't like the dogs in her foster home yet. She could just be being protective of her babies, her foster mum is working on introductions.
She likes to sit by her foster mom during the day, getting pets and being told how pretty she is. Maggie is still young herself, and she'll play with toys if she can get them away from her kittens.
Maggie is litterbox trained. She would love a forever home where she can be pampered for the rest of her life.

More about this rescue
Animal Allies of Texas is a 501(c)(3) animal advocacy/rescue organization, dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community. Our goal is to build a no-kill shelter on enough land to house not only "adoptable" animals, but "treatable" ones as well - those who need medical care or behavior modification to become adoptable. While working toward this goal, we will also engage in community service and humane education projects to help bring about "humanity championed by thought."
