My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Daphne - the “beauty queen” of the Scooby Gang is a gorgeous kitten, bright, sweet, playful but also very well behaved. We don’t know that we’ve have seen many kittens as outright PRETTY as this girl is. She gets more beautiful by the day, and has the softest coat.

She likes other animals and people very much and once she’s settled she will follow you around looking for pets. Daphne wants to be near you, and she very much wants to be loved and play toys with you. She loves pets and pays attention when you talk to her.

She was the shy girl of the Scooby Gang, but came out to find herself once they got homes.  With a little bit of love and patience, and letting her lead where she was comfortable, she has blossomed and is looking for her forever home. Her ideal place is one where she can be given the time and space to feel sure of herself. Though this sweet beauty isn’t very fond of being picked up, she will come climb onto your lap or snuggle you in bed at night, purring the whole time.

You can find our adoption process as well as a link to our application on our website:  https://sophialorangekittenrescue.com/adoption-instructions

Please pay particular attention to steps 1 & 2. We include on our website details on how to prepare for a home visit, how to get ready for a new kitten, some useful guidance for introductions and reminders about taking time everyone needs.

All of our adoptable animals are cared for and assessed in foster homes (we do not have a shelter), up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed or neutered and tested for FeLV/FIV, before they are adopted. They have had de-worming medication as a standard of care and Flea/Tick/Ear Mite preventive treatment. And of course are litter trained. Medical records will be released with the adopted pet.
