My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:

This pet was brought in by our Humane Law Enforcement team.

Why Hilja might be the one
for you:

Hilja is a charming dog who boasts a mellow and shy demeanor. She has a heart full of sweetness, ready to shower her future family with unconditional love. Her adorable personality shines through in the gentle wag of her tail and her soft, loving gaze. She's eager to find a family that will appreciate her sweet, mellow nature. Her foster mom describes Hilda as not shy, outgoing and loves kisses. Overall a 100% good girl who is doing great in foster. Adopt Hilja, and let her fill your home with her loving presence and lots of kisses, some gentle and some slobbery but all nice. She is a great kisser. To meet Hilja and check out those kisses, contact us at the information below. Bring a leash in case she kisses her way into your heart and you go home together. She has been spayed and vaccinated and is now ready for her new home.

To meet Hilja, contact us at 619 299 7012 or email sdcadoptions@sdhumane.org and leave a good call back number. We will call you back and arrange for you to meet this special lady.

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
