For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
To adopt this pup you must take the following oath:
Will you solemnly promise and swear to protect this cute, precious, energetic, adventurous, kind, and good dog of the Duchy of Wellington.
Cherish him, love him, take him on walks, 3 scratches behind the ear, a good belly rub, and provide for him a big jar of milk bones?
If so, please apply and adopt this very good boy.
Rufus Charles Wellington III. A name that strikes admiration and confidence. That is the name of this excellent pup here.
Hear hear, let me tell you about Mr. Wellington III:
Meet Rufus Charles Wellington III, a seven month old great Dane mix! You will fall in love with his goofy, playful side and one ear up facial expressions! He's easily motivated by treats to be the best boy! He was found in south San Antonio wandering the streets and got into the car with strangers over a pop tart!
His lack of stranger danger allowed him to be instant best friends with his 4 year old foster non-furry boy and other foster furry friends! Not cat tested.
He's great in a kennel and potty trained! We are working on sit!
Local adoption fee is $250 (in TX)
Out of state adoption fee is $500 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Additional adoption info
Adoption application required. Adoption fees with transport included start at $400 higher prices for Purebred and/or highly desirable pets. Adoption application, adoption contract, return/foster agreement if dog doesn't work out in home.
We work hard to place dogs in the right homes, if the adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal, help the adopter screen applicants and help facilitate finding another home for the dog.

We are a TEXAS based rescue who transport regularly to this area. Our dogs are in TEXAS and will be transported to you if you adopt from us.
Our pets are posted on our website, and most live in homes with their fosters. We live with our foster dogs to get to know them in a home setting and to let them know that life can be good away from the streets.
We work to correct poor behaviors, teach manners and observe each dogs particular quirks and personalities so we can give accurate observations of the dogs you are interested in.
We know that dogs will sometimes behave differently with different people but we can give you our impressions of our pups and situations they have been in.
