Do you have issues with guests, the pizza guy, food on the floor, or dog toys going unnoticed in your home? Meet Pepper, a very stereotypical frenchie.... outgoing, somewhat mischievous, often stubborn, & a *FANTASTIC* pocket inspector. Since her arrival in rescue, seldom has a visitor succeed in entering her foster home without being thoroughly greeted & inspected for any contraband kibbles they may be attempting to smuggle!

Pepper is house trained & crate trained, but LOVES spending time with you, either at your feet or on your lap. She is good with most small dogs & cats, but is not crazy about large dogs or tiny humans.

Adopters committed to perimeter patrols (leash walking) in areas where she can be admired & who are in need of constant reminders regarding dog toys (or lack thereof) are her preferences. Telling Pepper "no-no-drop-that-you-french-tart" is unwise and will only result in an extensive game of Chase Me You Human Fool.

Veterinary and personal reference checks, and a home visit/meet-n-greet are required PRIOR to being approved to adopt. The time frame for completing this process depends largely on how quickly references respond, your vet office is able to speak to us (some want written permission first), your landlord or HOA (if applicable) confirms their approval for a pet, & how your schedule aligns with that of our volunteer(s) for the Home Visit.
