Reason animal needs rescue: Shy dog that would benefit from a calmer environment. Is currently on behavior medications to support anxiety.

Additional notes: Dog would do better in a home environment. Nervous but the right home can help him build confidence. He has been improving in shelter.

Goes to front of kennel when approach. Able to place a leash and take out without any issues. Non reactive while on leash and in yard. Showed some playful behavior - play bow. Take treats without any issues. Does run away when trying to approach to give injections. Distracted with treats during injections. Did great overall.

When approaching kennel, dog would lower head and run to the back of the kennel. While trying to leash, dog would back away and avoid the leash. Once leash, able to take out to yard. In the yard the dog was more interesting in the environment, did not show interest in the handler. Dog was non affiliative. Allowed basic petting, but still showed no interest in handler.
