My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Halsey is an absolutely STUNNING sable male. Currently intact, he's undergoing slow treatment for HW. Hals has high ball drive and a desire to chase/tug. He's not a good fit for households that
have small prey animals or dominant dogs. He walks well on leash, and overall was a joy to meet and play with!

He's a jolly dog with lots of love to give! Mature kid safe, and would love a family
to give him all the snuggles. I think Halsey would be perfect for a junior or beginner handler who wants a weekend sport dog with some go, that's not going to take you for a ride. Speaking of rides-
big guy loves to load up in the car and go!

Take the Pet Home

All animals will go through a 2-4 week foster to adopt period before finalizing adoption. This is a stress free safety net for dog and human

Additional adoption info

We do not do any outright adoptions! All animals are required to go through a 3-4 week Foster to Adopt period with their potential homes. This allows pressure free integration for the humans, and an assurance of correct placement for the animal.

Adoption rates are subject to change at the organization’s discretion.

RHRN is a foster based rescue. We utilize fosters all over South Carolina, and sometimes into GA and NC. Please inquire as to your desired animal’s location during the application process (if not already listed).

More about this rescue

Red’s House Rescue Network is a working breed rescue based out of Greenville County SC. Our primary focus are breeds that are “too much,” the breeds that deteriorate quickly in shelter environments, and sometimes have a bad rap. These dogs are capable of being incredible members of society, as pets, sport dogs, and working partners. RHRN has placed dogs in IGP, PSA, Service Dog, & Police Department homes, among others. We also of course have lower drive dogs that make wonderful pets.

We aim to place all of our dogs with basic manners/OB in place, and we are a forever asset to our alumni’s- for any issues or needs post adoption, we will ALWAYS help, and we will ALWAYS take our dogs back if there is a need. Once an animal passes through Red’s House, they’ll always have a home!
