Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Butters is a chill 7 year old pup who is looking for someone to play fetch with!
He is truly a very easy going and low maintenance dog who will fit perfectly well in a quiet household and owners that are willing to play fetch with him :)
According to his foster he's house-trained, can be trusted to be left alone uncrated and has no interest in getting on furniture!
Butters is super intelligent and knows his name and basic commands such as Come, Sit, Drop It (the ball), Paw, Other paw, and he would easily pick up on anything else you wanted to teach him!
Butters likes to be near his people whether they're doing laundry or gardening or just chilling, he lays down and just watches the "happenings" without being disruptive in any way.
Butters came to us in a pretty rough shape, extremely obese (85lbs) and with alopecia/patchy fur and skin sores. He's all better now and looks like a completely different dog (55lbs) :) His obesity was due to an undiagnosed/untreated Cushings, which once our vet figured it out, it's as easy to manage as taking one daily pill which he gobbles down with his food.
Butters is not your typical "I want to be all over my human" kind of pup, so cuddling constant physical affection is not his thing; he really is content with a couple of pets.
Butters' number one priority is playing fetch! No seriously, he lives for fetching! He will bring back the ball/toy/thingamajig or whatever, every time you throw it, and will keep going.
Butters has been indifferent/neutral when seeing other dogs on walks, so we think he would be fine living with other chill animals. He's a generally calm fella, so a home with rowdy kids or rambunctious dogs may not be the best fit, because he likes his space.
