Bodie is an adorable Papillon/Long-Haired Chihuahua mix, all black with a white stripe on his chin. He is 3-4 years old and weighs 10 pounds, with a sturdy body on mini legs. He is playful, affectionate and intelligent. He is neutered, current on shots, microchipped, also house-trained and crate-trained.
Like many little dogs, Bodie is feisty and lets you know what he does and doesn’t like. For this reason, he would not be good with young children. He is not good with cats as he will chase them. If you have another dog or dogs, he will want to play with them but needs an experienced owner to avoid squabbles at mealtime. He is shy at first but won’t take long to warm up and become your velcro dog.
If you’re interested in adopting this charming little guy, email paprescuesocal@gmail.com for an adoption application. We adopt only in So. CA.

PAPS asks for an in-depth adoption application and we follow up with a phone interview and a home visit. We never place our rescues with children under 6 and our preference is for a home in which the dog is not left alone all day. We are not first-come, first-serve, as we match each dog with its ideal home. Our adoption fees range from $100 to $425, depending on the age and health of the dog. All of our rescues are spayed/neutered, current on shots and examined by a vet before adoption.
