***MUST SUBMIT APPLICATION before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thank You for your cooperation***
Please read listings fully to the end before applying for one of our beloved rescues.

WE ARE NOT A SHELTER; WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS.
Please do not contact us to look at a dog. We will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application if we think your home might be a good fit. A reference check, phone interview, and home visit will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog.

We work quickly. Please do not submit an application until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. Expect your references to be contacted shortly after submitting your application. We adopt out to homes around WA state & Oregon but require that you are present for the meet and greet in Newcastle, WA.

Our adoption fee is non-negotiable. The adoption fee is due on the day of adoption in the form of a check, Zelle, PayPal, if using PayPal the potential adopter will have to pay the fees & charges with PayPal.

Soul destroying to think of what she has been through & yet she still loves human beings even after everything they have done to her. Camilla along with her 2 other siblings were kept 24/7 in a crate & the breeder here in WA state was not feeding them. She would forget to feed these beautiful souls she said & could not take care for them. 3 of them were kept in a cage at the age of 6 months & when we got them they were so extremely skinny & so matted & stunk so bad & had not been receiving any love nor care & had never ever been to a vet & were consuming their own fecis to stay alive. Yes, you did just read that correctly. We rescued a total of 9 standards from this breeder when she would allow them to leave & instantly got everyone straight to our vets. Our souls were so broken for what Camilla had endured & her siblings. Camilla & her siblings are all available for a loving devoted forever home now they are healthy & so very loved.

Camilla is so easy going considering her past life but had to learn what it was like to be in a loving foster home & the normal freedom. At first when she arrived she didn’t know what to do & was uncertain after being kept in a cage. Those days are over for Camilla & now she knows she can go wherever she wants. You can find this girl just sitting there taking it all in as she is so grateful. She will just sit there or lay there & watch what you are doing without a care in the world now. We cannot stress enough how lovely Camilla is & deserves the most loving home. This girl is so stunning inside & out & she has come along way since we rescued her. We posted her story on social media along with her journey & her siblings. The reality is she had to learn everything with us. She is so forgiving. She just wants you to love her & she will love you back. She adores being hugged & held because the reality is we are the first real people in her life to show her such true love & affection.
She is used to being groomed, baths all of it & is used to it.
She adores her foster mum & dad now as they have shown her normalcy & love.

In her foster homes she eats a clean diet meaning, raw fruits, vegetables, proteins, grains & different supplements.
Camilla is still learning to walk on harness & leash considering we believe we are the first people to teach her how to go on walks but would still need to be taught. Camilla has been taught to walk on a slip lead. Camilla is a rescue & will need patience, time & understanding.
Camilla was moved to a new foster home & had a harness on in the car & does not like having a harness left on & chewed through it while in the car. Camilla adores being pampered & doesn’t want you to stop when brushing her, cleaning her eyes, grooming her, she loves it all. She also does extremely well being touched in general & adores receiving love.

In both her foster homes she loves beds, blankets & will want to sleep with you if she can. If she can’t she will lay next to the bed to be close to you. In her current foster home she is learning how to use a dog door but had not figured it out yet. In her first foster home she instantly taught herself to walk up hardwood stairs. She is a very smart intelligent girl.
We have tested her in a daycare environment & she did well with many breeds & was fostered with puppies & loves puppies.

Having toys & a warm bed is all new to Camilla & we have been excited to change her world with the introduction of toys & lots of love & affection & a loving environment. She is definitely a people person dog & loves to be wherever you are.
Camilla has learnt to ride in the car & does amazing in the car & does well in the car & enjoys a good car ride. She is such an easy & sweet going, loving little lady. With Camilla we are only looking for a crate free home for this lovely little lady only. Please do not apply with the intent to crate this girl, we do not want this again for our sweetheart. We are also looking for a forever home for Camilla where someone is home during the day or she can go with her people wherever possibly he can go with them.
Did we mention this girl loves a good outfit too.
Camilla is looking for a forever home who will cherish her & love her as she should be loved & be very patient with her & understanding.

Camilla has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes & she is currently with other dogs & enjoys their company. She can be found at times snuggled up to her foster siblings. A fully fenced backyard is mandatory for Camilla new forever home along with another dog friend if it’s a freestanding dwelling. Please do not apply saying your neighbors have a dog or family members or you will take her to places where there are other dogs.

Camilla is now roughly 36.2 lbs & is 10 months old & a female standard poodle & what she is mixed with we are not sure? She is spayed by laser & just had a dental scale & polish & is microchipped, up to date on her shots including DHPP, Bordatella, rabies & dewormed.
She had an ear flush, meds put in her ears for an ear infection long lasting claro.
She has a couple of old marks on her from being groomed but one is getting Manuka honey on it to help it heal quicker.
On the day of her surgery she had entropion in one eye that was not there before but could go away again on his own. Discussion with the vet that it could go away again & Camilla could grow out of it without doing an unnecessary surgery on her eye that could cause problems with her tear production.
Entropion left again the next day & had not returned again since.

We have spent far more on Camilla with multiple vet visits between 2 vets, getting her well & her surgeries without anything else than her adoption fee comes close to covering.

Camilla has not been around cats since being in the rescue but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals. We have not had Camilla with small children so we do not recommend children, but it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & animals.

We were not there when Camilla was conceived so we do not know who her parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think her breed is.

As with all of our rescues & Camilla’s friends she will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. Please do not submit an application if you are not willing to commit to one of our rescues care for their whole life & that includes if they need training. Please do not email us asking is Camilla potty trained or available, nor do we ship dogs anywhere as we will not respond.

We would never say anyone of our rescues are potty trained. Our rescues need homes where the people are understanding of their past & what they have been through & what they will need in their daily lives & not willing to give up on them & if they do need training in their new home will in fact take them to training & not just say they will when applying.

Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Camilla & going through our process and have read her listing fully to the end & are wanting to adopt. If you are not responsive to our calls, emails or your references do not respond we will move on & remove your application from our system. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview & a virtual home visit using Zoom to covid & followed by a meet and greet & if it’s a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Camilla who understands her needs & that meet all the requirements for this lovely little lady.
Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast, within days so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto dogs for people as our goal is to save lives & please do not submit an application if you are not ready to adopt. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately.

Camilla has an adoption fee of $1650 & is ready for her truly loving forever home & compassion & understanding of what she has been through.
