For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
Meet Little Guy Golden (LGG)! He is a handsome one year old, short-haired, orange tabby. "Little Guy Golden," wandered into Tom's yard back in March. Small, wet, and scared, Tom coaxed LGG in from the sidewalk, little by little, with food and pets. He soon learned the routine from Tom's four elder cats. LGG is not like any cat Tom has ever had; he's more dog-like, following him everywhere he goes.
Tom lives in an area where the front and back yards are all gardens, and Little Guy Golden is a great garden cat. Tom can not keep him as there are already 6 cats on the property between him and his sister. LGG is neutered and has had his shots. He is an energetic cat, especially while in the garden. He's curious and playful!

More about this rescue
Mission Statement
Fat Kitty City Humane Society is a non-profit 501(c)3 Corporation, dedicated to ending needless animal suffering, through spaying, neutering, socializing, adopting and other aggressive approaches.
Our objectives are:
Provide a "no-kill" sanctuary for unwanted, Feline AIDS positive or negative, abused, neglected, feral, tame, stray or lost pets.
When possible, each pet will be rehabilitated, socialized and adopted (with a microchip) to a good family.
Those pets that cannot be rehabilitated, will live out their lives in our sanctuary, in dignity. They will receive love, housing, food and veterinary care.
To spay or neuter every pet we receive, to reduce unnecessary suffering.
Provide reasonable space for each pet to live out a high quality of life (not to live out their lives in small cages with barely enough room to move around).
Provide relief from the weather by providing a heated shelter during cold weather, etc.
Provide stimulation. A yard with trees to climb, lawn and dirt to play in and toys to enjoy.
