My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lunar Star is a sweet, playful pup who's always ready to brighten your day! When you meet him you'll be greeted by his adorable toe taps and wagging. He's easy to walk on his leash and eager to say hi to everyone he meets.

Once outside, Lunar is the picture of good manners-he greets people with a relaxed, happy attitude. He allows all-over pets and takes treats gently. Super food-motivated, this boy is a joy to train.

Lunar Star loves to engage in play and would thrive in a fun, active home. With his sweet personality and excellent manners, he's ready to be the shining star in his forever family!

Eligible for rescue & adoption. Meet Lunar Star at ACCT Philly any day of the week from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Behavior:
Per Volunteer: 9/28/24:
Lunar star was easy to leash and walk through the kennels. He went outside earlier today so he didn't want to spend too much more time outside since it was drizzling. Once the treat bag came out he was so excited and he knows sit!

Per Volunteer 9/28/24:
Very patient for leashing! He allowed me to leash him then unleash him immediately to allow the volunteer I was training to then leash him. Super patient boy! Was very loose and wiggly to greet us. Outside he was SUCH an affectionate boy! Wow, such a sweetie. he loves pets all over and cuddles right up to you. He loves treats too and takes them gently. Sweet boy!

Per Staff 9/24/24:
BEHAVIOR EVALUATION:

KNOWN HISTORY:
Stray

KENNEL PRESENTATION:
Lunar was at the front of his kennel doing toe taps and wagging when I approached. He was very patient and wiggly for leashing exiting the kennel without issue.

LEASH SKILLS:
Pulled minimally, said hi to a bunch of people in the kennels!

HANDLING:
Lunar Star was so sweet and social while outside. He had excellent manners and was never mouthy or jumpy. He greeted multiple people with loose and relaxed body language and allowed all over handling. He has skin issues so I was careful around his inflamed skin for handling, but he did not display any sensitivities. He was very well mannered and easy to handle outside. Took treats gently and very food motivated

PLAY
Engaged in play

TOYS:
Interest but no possession
